Thus, if they want their foods that contain very little or no fat to have a good taste, they need to add sugars. The tasty aromas bind to these sugars and people love the food, means they buy it and ake profits for these companies.

That this profit is gained at the expense of people who think they do something good for their health does not bother the food industry: The problem is, that sugar is even worse than fat! The glycemic index is a way to measure the bad effects of sugars. By eating too much sugar you eventually destroy the enzymatic system that helps your body deal with surgars and fats, and you will grow fat yourself....
